The National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) is pleased to announce that it has been re-certified for improved information security management system as per ISO27001:2013 standard, for the third time since 2018.

This follows the journey that the Bank took to established a documented Information Security Management System (ISMS) in a bid to maintain cyber security risks at acceptable levels through annual inspection by external auditors.

This improvement was assessed through the bank’s information security maturity across all ICT operations and business processes, but mostly in the Bank’s ability to easily and securely migrate its operations to the new working models due COVID pandemic.
